Ten (10) DMMMSU faculty members, seven from the North La Union Campus and three from the South La Union Campus, attended and presented their scholarly research at the 19th NAKEM International Conference with the theme «appReframing Indigeneity and Affirming Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity.«app The conference was held at Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT), Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, on July 17-19, 2024.
Among the presenters were Dr. Nora A. Oredina (NLUC), who presented on the Identity and Religious Syncretism of the Aglipayan in Bacnotan, La Union,«app and Dr. Manilyn R. Cacanindin (SLUC), who presented her research titled Student Involvement in Assessment as Means of Language Learning Improvement.
Additionally, Ms. Mylene C. Milan and Dr. Fauslyn Gay Amongan (SLUC) collaborated on a research study exploring Managing Anxiety in Speaking English among College Students: Praxis, Analysis and «appShuttling Between Languages.«app
Meanwhile, Dr. Anny Ross A. Bayan, Dr. Marife D. Cariaso, Dr. Violeta F. Collado, Dr. Rochelle M. Verganio, Ms. Karla Marie Avecilla, and Mr. Russel F. Deleña, served as facilitators during the conference.
