DMMMSU Personnel jampacked the Jose D. Aspiras Hall at the South La Union Campus during the University Personnel Olympics Opening Program. This three-day event, from January 31-February 2, 2024, includes traditional sports, indigenous Filipino games, and cultural competitions.

In his message, President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. encouraged the personnel to enjoy and engage in friendly competitions and the time to relax after a year«apps hard work. Also, he emphasized that the UPO is an avenue to select participants in the ASCU-SN come June this year.

«appSince I became the President, we have been sending the largest number of delegates to the ASCU-SN and bringing home the highest number of gold medals,«app he continued.

The opening program was filled with vigor and dynamism as the personnel danced in the Zumba exercise, and the whole gymnasium echoed the teams«app yells.

This year«apps team names feature names of trees «app molave for DPCONS, balete for MLUC, yakal for NLUC, and agoho for SLUC.

After President Manuel«apps formal declaration of the Opening of the University Olympics, Dr. Paulo Jan F. Samson, Director for Sports, and Dr. Rodelio V. Indong, Director for Cultural Affairs, announced the schedule of games and cultural events.

This event was designed to promote physical fitness, mental agility, relaxation, camaraderie, and balanced work-life at DMMMSU. (By Ayu)
