DMMMSU hosted the National Umpires Course organized by the Philippine Table Tennis Federation (PTTF), Inc. from January 26 to 28, 2024. The training was held at the South La Union Campus.
The course focused on in-depth discussions and practical sessions covering the rules and nuances of table tennis umpiring. It drew table tennis coaches and umpires from across the country.
Ms. Rachel Ramos, a gold badge umpire and ITTF referee, served as the lead instructor.
CE faculty members, Mr. Ralph Christian Caruñgay and Ms. Jing Buguelis from the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), actively participated in the course.
The successful execution of the course was made possible by the concerted efforts of PTTF through Mr. Ting Ledesma, PTTF Inc. President, with Mr. Ralph Christian Caruñgay and Mr. John Patrick Cisnero. (By Renz E. Ferrera)
